central plains
challenge walk
The
15K Central Plains Challenge Walk was started in 2008 by a
local group of women known as “The Portage Crew”, who had a
cancer diagnosis themselves or have had close family and
friends who have been affected by cancer. Their objective is
to help raise money for Central Plains Cancer Care Services
to ensure that the best possible services are available to
those who need it most. This will be the 5th Challenge Walk
that the Portage Crew has organized. The first walk held in
2008 resulted in donations of just over $65,200. In four
years the Challenge Walk has cumulatively raised a total of
$220,530.00 . Funds raised support programs and services to
the 72 communities served by Central Plains Cancer Care
Services. Visit
www.centralplainschallengewalk.ca for more information
about the walk or to register!
