Republic of Manitobah Park

The Republic of Manitobah Park offers 70 acres of outdoor recreational facilities. There are 6 softball diamonds, 2 fenced baseball diamonds and a batting cage located on site. A tournament quality softball diamond has recently been constructed, complete with lights, that meets national standards. Also home to a football/rugby field, 5 magnificent soccer pitches, 6 mini-soccer pitches, and 2 sand volleyball courts. The park is equipped with 2 washroom facilities, equipment storage area, and a concession. Throughout the summer months the park is full of people, sport events, and fun! PCU Centre

Southport Recreation Centre

The Southport Recreation Centre features a gymnasium, weight room, and five-pin bowling alley.  Outdoor facilities include two asphalt tennis courts, two softball diamonds, a regulation size soccer field, a 400-metre track, and a 9-hole golf course. Portage la Prairie Regional Library

40-B Royal Road North, Portage la Prairie Portage la Prairie Regional Library provides library services to residents of the City and the Rural Municipality of Portage la Prairie free of charge.  Non-residents are required to pay an annual fee. In house use of materials is available to everyone at no charge (excluding Internet access for non-members).    Adult and Junior fiction and non-fiction books, magazines, large print and talking books for the visually impaired, audio books (CD format), DVDs and a collection of local newspapers on microfilm are just some of the materials available.  The microfilm reader-scanner, photocopying, interlibrary-loans, reference services and Internet access, including wireless and laptop connections, are also offered.  During the year, the library also provides a variety of child and adult programming, including an annual summer book sale.
